At Freedom Seed Acres, our animals are more than livestock—they’re part of the family and the heartbeat of our land.

Our flock of hens includes a beautiful mix of Wyandottes, Golden Comets, Rhode Island Reds, and Buff Orpingtons—each one adding her own charm and color to our daily egg basket.

Our roosters keep a watchful eye, and the gentle cluck and crow of our coop is a comforting rhythm in our everyday life.

Small in size but big in personality, our Nigerian Dwarf goats are a lively and lovable part of Freedom Seed Acres. We raise four does and one buck, and they’re as curious and entertaining as they are useful.

Beyond their playful presence, these goats offer a creamy, nutrient-rich milk that we use to handcraft soothing goat milk soaps and lotions gentle enough for sensitive skin and full of natural goodness.

But their contributions don’t stop there — our goats are also some of the best “fertilizer makers” on the farm. Their pellet-like manure is low in odor, rich in nutrients, and perfect for amending garden beds and feeding our soil without burning delicate plants. It’s a clean, sustainable way to return goodness back to the earth, completing the circle of care that defines our farm life.

From nourishment to skincare to soil health, these sweet, spunky goats give back in more ways than one.

Our small duck flock brings even more life to the farm, with a mix of Pekins, Rouens, Swedish Blues, Swedish Grays, and upright Indian Runners—all waddling together with purpose and joy.

Their eggs are prized for their richness, and their presence adds a peaceful energy to the pasture.

In the quieter corners of the farm, our Californian/New Zealand cross rabbits are raised for both meat and fur—four females and one male, responsibly bred with care and respect.

We also keep a separate pair of Rex rabbits, one male and one female, known for their incredibly soft, velvety coats.

Whether grazing, hopping, or snuggling up in their cozy enclosures, each animal plays a special role in our sustainable, hands-on way of life.
